Apple Habanero Salsa

There is a delightfully pronounced apple flavor in this spicy salsa. I don't see apples in salsa very often, and I'm not sure why. This is a new fall staple.

4 medium-sized, tart apples, peeled, cored, and roughly chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 red onion, chopped
1 habanero pepper, chopped
1/4 cup cilantro
juice of 1-2 limes
salt to taste

Combine all vegetables in a food processor and process until finely chopped. Stir in lime juice, salt, and pepper to taste.

I made this for a dinner party the other night and it was a huge hit! Great combo of sweetness, tartness, and spiciness.
